How SkillFit Jobs works
SkillFit Jobs reads the public job feeds of 952 employers every day and scores each open job against the profile you enter. It was built by Srihari Naidu.
The match score
- Skills, 45 points. How many of the skills named in the posting are in your profile.
- Level, 25 points. How close the job's seniority is to yours, read from the job title.
- Location, 20 points. Full points in a country you picked, most of them for a remote job.
- Freshness, 10 points. Newer postings score higher.
The score is a guide to what to read first. It is worked out from keywords in the title and description, so always read the posting itself.
What it does not do
- It does not apply for you. You apply on the employer's own page.
- It does not cover every employer. Only those that publish an open job feed are included.
- It cannot promise a job is still open. Feeds are read once a day.
- Some employers' feeds have no description. Those jobs are scored without the skills part, and the job says so.

How is the match score worked out?
Each job gets up to 100 points: 45 for how many of the skills it names are yours, 25 for how close it is to your level, 20 for location and 10 for how recently it was posted. Tap "Why this score?" on any job to see the split.
Where do the jobs come from?
From the public job feeds that 952 employers publish themselves, plus three remote job boards. Every job links to the employer's own page, where you apply.

How often is it updated?
